My friend and I rode a motorcycle to Spruce Pine last weekend. We had reserved a room at The Mountain House and were so pleased with our choice.

Great location! Fabulous breakfast every morning! Nice place to stay!
Our innkeeper Inza was there to welcome us and show us around. Originally we had the entire house to ourselves, but later in the evening a family came in, which was fine with us. Inza and John gave us tips on where to eat dinner, we rode the bike around for a while, then spent a lovely time on the porch visiting with them until the new guests showed up. The House is beautiful, wonderful antiques, everything you could want in a homey place to stay. We had a beautiful room with the most comfortable bed ever. Breakfast was amazing, more food than we usually eat in a week, much less for a breakfast. We hope to plan another ride before winter so we can use The Mountain House as a base for more Blue Ridge Parkway riding. Can't say enough good things about this B&B
